Hanuman Chalisa The Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional hymn (stotra) addressed to Hindu God Hanuman created by the epic poet Tulsidas.It is written in the Awadhi language and is his best known text apart from the Ramcharitmanas.
It has 40 poetic verses, and hence the name chalisa. It is popularly chanted in India and amongst Hindus and others for courage, strength and protection from evil. The Hanuman Chalisa is transcribed, translated, or transliterated in Malayalam so that devotees can understand it in the language they are familiar with.
